DS18B20 Temp sensor with EZIO8SA

I've spent serious time for a week now trying to get my 1-wire DS18B20 sensor to wrk with my ezio8sa. Pretty sure of my wiring and I'm using the 'powered' mode. Thought that maybe a pull-up might be needed on the data wire but I chatted with the smartenit people who said that was not required.

I have the sensor enabled in the device. I write a schedule to read the value every 10 seconds (for now). Usually the value is either 32-F but sometimes it's or 118-F.

I've tried wiring it twice now....measured for power....my measurement from RJ-12 pins 1 to 2 yields 3.28V. From pins 1 to pin 4 it reads 3.28V. Pin 1 is power, pins 2 and 4 are ground. Pin 3 is data.

Any ideas?

I have 2 of these ezio8sa's....both have the same issue.

One addition thought going through my head, I read somewhere that ds18b20's may behave different from different manufactures. Would be interested to know which manufactures have been proven to work with an ezio8sa.

No luck. I poll the 1-wire input every 10 seconds, place the sensor value into a variable which I watch. It reads 32F or 118F.....usually 32Farenhight. Don't know what to do next. The log shows it reading the ezio8sa....and returning the mentioned values. Maybe I should try it unpowered.

You might try posting on this forum thread. It is really old, but the original poster might get an email notification and offer some suggestions.

Thanks. I've ordered additional sensors from a different source...I read that these sensors are prone to counterfeit market shenanigans. If the replacements don't work I'll post over there. Not much hope.
