LampLinc or Insteon?

Hello;

I've currently got a pretty rudimentary X-10 setup utilizing SmartHome LampLincs.

I was about to purchase two more LampLinc 2-way dimmers, but started reading about Insteon. I'm not ready to make the switch of my network over to Insteon, but should I just go ahead and buy the Insteon LampLinc modules so I have 2 less devices that are obsolete when I do?

Even with the new PowerLinc V2 (INSTEON version), you should be able to control old X10-only LampLincs as well as the newer INSTEON LampLincs. But if you ever want to have the increased reliability and performance of INSTEON, then you'll need the INSTEON LampLincs. Personally, I would probably get the INSTEON type.
