I took a look at those before I discovered that the Spirits had become available. I don't think that the Fibaro TRV supports FLiRS - I could be wrong on this?
Having FLiRS should mean better battery life and more importantly, the device should respond instantly to any request sent to it. At the moment to get any sort of quick response I have to wake-up my Popp TRV devices every 5 minutes which isn't good for battery life. :)

I think I will go with the Spirits.
The FIBARO one look better, but it's also more expensive

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

The good thing about the Spirit is that the display and controls are easy to see and use when mounted low on a radiator.
I had to remove the Danfoss LC13´s as SHMBO couldn't adjust the temperature directly and changing remotely took too long even when the wake up period was at 5 minutes.
I think the Fibaro can be controlled like a standard TRV by turning the knob. Instead of a temperature or number setting it changes colour from blue to red depending on the temperature set.
Attached a link to the user manual for the Spirit so that Matt and Jay can get to work :D
I will hold off until first reports of functionality are out before deciding which to purchase. A new Danfoss is apparently also on its way.

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

FLiRS seems to work. :)
I presume the 'frequentWaking' in the device definition means FLiRS.

I pressed the Send Status Button and got this immediate response:
Code: Select all
19 Oct 2017, 12:56:05
Z-Wave                          sent "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" mode status request
Z-Wave                          received "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" mode is heat
Z-Wave                          sent "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" temperature status request
   Z-Wave                          received "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" temperature update to 22.47 °C
Z-Wave                          sent "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" heat setpoint status request
   Z-Wave                          received "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" heat setpoint is 22.0 °C
Z-Wave                          sent "133 - General Thermostat (v2)" cool setpoint status request

Changing the setpoint works without any command queueing. This is great news and I think resolves one of the major issues with previous TRV implementations, which is that there was always a delay (based on wakeup frequency) before a command was executed.

I will now do some more testing to see how well I can integrate it into my Stella-Z plugin - it may need some coding changes. :)

Yikes....
At that price I guess it is worth waiting for them to become available here in Germany...

Re: Autolog Stella-Z Thermostat Controller Discussion

Will they work out of box with Indigo?
I need only one for the bathroom radiator to turn it on in the morning and then again in the afternoon.

Do they work with Z-Wave Stick S2 (I do not have the Gen5).

Thanks
