HomeSeer HS-LS100+ Z-Wave Plus Leak Sensor

I'm trying to incorporate the HomeSeer water sensor even though it is not in the included hardware list. Maybe that is my problem. I can "include" the device, read and change advanced settings but the only response I can get from the device is: " received "003 - Notification Sensor" status update battery level 99%."

I get this message when I "wet' the device and the same message when I "dry"the device.

I had different issues trying a Veraedge controller.

Am I overlooking something or is this device simply not going to work with Indigo at this time? Indigo certainly knows a lot about the device. Log below.

Thanks.

We'll need to add a device definition to Indigo for it, but in the mean time you should be able to use Indigo's Match Raw Packet trigger type with it. See this forum post where I explained the details for an Ecolink flood sensor. The Match Bytes might be slightly different for the HomeSeer module – you'll need to turn on Indigo Z-Wave debug logging checkbox (via the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Configure... menu item) then get the sensor wet to see what commands it is sending.

Thanks. Looks good. I won't be able to try it until Wednesday and will report back then.

Yes, it works! It took some careful study and experimentation but the sensor can trigger what I want it to when it is wet or dry. The next challenge will be to distinguish one sensor from another. The log does identify which sensor was activated through the battery level report which is also available through Indigo Touch.

Thank you again for such a clever solution.

If you look at the 6th set of numbers in your raw data then in the sensor you posted above it should be 03, just extend the raw data to start at that point and only that sensor will trigger, then you set another trigger for the other sensor you have also starting at the 6th number and only that one will trigger.
