Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

Disable it and delete all copies of it from the plugins and plugins(disabled) folders, and from Downloads.

Then re-download .28 from the live link.

See what you end up with.

Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

I downloaded from your original download. I get version 28. I get a pop up window in the buttom. Here I can select the controller but the field is empty. then I can select a controller model. I have two choices:
Cooper
Enerwave

But i get an error whit both choices.
I have a z-stick gen5. Does that have anything with that todo?

The links for the entire discussion we've been having since last night are all on the announcement thread - if you've been using other links from elsewhere then that could explain why you were on .19 instead of .28

The instructions are also on that page.

Hi Peter,
OK - I think it is installed now. But what do I have to do.

If I create a new trigger under triggers. What type shall i create it as?

I do not have a choice of a type called "Z-Wave Scene Controller"

Can you advice me?

Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

You certainly should have a ZWave Scene Controller event (trigger) type.

Do you have an events.xml file in the plugin?

Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

Hi Peter, Can I have you direct me to where this should be placed?

It seems that I have two under:

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Plugins (Disabled)/SQL Logger.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Plugins (Disabled)/Timers and Pesters.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin

Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

Carefully Perform the following steps:

1) Choose the Indigo 7->Stop Server menu item.

2) Delete the plugin from either of these locations (it might be in one or the other):

/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Plugins/ZwaveSceneController.indigoPlugin
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Plugins (Disabled)/ZwaveSceneController.indigoPlugin

3) Download the plugin from this link.

4) If the file did not automatically unzip, then double-click it to unzip it.

5) To install the plugin, double-click on it (the unzipped version).

6) You should get a dialog in Indigo asking if you want to install it. Press the button to install it.

If any of those steps failed, then explain in detail what occurred.

Also, open the Event Log window and copy/paste its contents after performing those steps into a reply for us.

Lastly, try creating a new Trigger and for the type choose Z-Wave Scene Controller events. If you don't see that type in the type popup control, then take a screen shot of the Trigger dialog with the type popup selected (so we can see what options are shown) and then attach the screenshot to a forum reply.

Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

Each plugin that defines its own events (triggers) will have a its own events.xml file - they're different so you can't just copy between plugins.

Thus both of those plugins (SQL Logger and Timers & Pesters) provide triggers; the content of the events.xml file tells Indigo what triggers they are and what configurable items within the trigger are.

If you extract the zip file of my plugin on a Windows machine you should see:

Contents
Contents/Info.plist
Contents/Server Plugin
Contents/Server Plugin/Devices.xml
Contents/Server Plugin/events.xml
Contents/Server Plugin/MenuItems.xml
Contents/Server Plugin/plugin.py
Contents/Server Plugin/pluginConfig.py

If you browse on your Mac, they should all be in /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Plugins/ZWaveSceneController.indigoPlugin/Contents/

Can you check if this matches up?

If it doesn't, follow Matt's steps that he's just posted whilst I wrote this post!

Re: Logic Home Control - ZHC5010 Switch - z-wave

Hi,
Not completely. The pluginConfig. is a xml file and not a .py as you have stated.

It look like this

pluginConfig.xml

Everything else is the same.

Hi, I did not get the zwave scene controller event to work. It looks like it is installed, but it does not show up at the trigger when I want to create a new.

I have posted a short video in my dropbox. Feel free to watch it:

Out of interest, try renaming events.xml to Events.xml - ie with a capital "E" then reload the plugin.
