z-wave relay with mains-powered, dry contact input

I am tired of replacing the battery in a z-wave door sensor (turns on a light in my laundry cupboard when the doors open, so is in quite frequent use). Also the batteries cost $10 a pop, which is mad.

What I want to do is use a conventional security system reed switch (dry contact), and wire this to the switch input on the relay that controls the light.

But the Fibaro Dimmer 2 (that I'm currently using ) requires [in AU version] 240 volt across the switch terminals, obviously you don't put this voltage through a conventional reed switch. Yes I could use a relay, but I'm first looking for a more elegant solution.

I see a GOAP (Quibino?) device, "Z-WAVE PLUS SINGLE RELAY (VOLTAGE FREE CONTACTS)", supports voltage-free inputs, so that could work. Is anyone using this device with Indigo (or other device suggestions ). (Dimming isn't actually necessary).
