Re: Monoprice Z-Wave Plus PIR Multi Sensor

did you see where I mention that you have to hit the program switch 4-6 times, not the lower number in the paper instructions?

Also the program switch is not illustrated in the instructions, It is NOT the tamper switch on the main board. It's accessed with a bent paper clip through the tiny hole on the exterior.

Yes. I think I tried that already. But, I'll try hitting the Program switch (with a trusty paperclip) several more times and see if it works.

I was literally holding the Z-stick and the sensor in the same hand and poking the switch randomly until I saw the stick react.

Re: Monoprice Z-Wave Plus PIR Multi Sensor

I'm not sure what is going wrong, but I suspect the module is going to sleep despite your efforts during the sync process. To get more details you can turn on the Z-Wave debug logging via the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Configure... menu item (checkbox in that dialog). Copy/paste the results that you get from a sync with that enabled into a reply for us.

I'd also suggest you try resetting the device by excluding it from the Z-Stick, re-including it, then syncing it again. Perhaps it got into a bad state. From your logs it looks like you have the exact same module (including same firmware version) as forum user Different Computers, so I don't think the problem is because of a different firmware version or model.

Re: Monoprice Z-Wave Plus PIR Multi Sensor

I removed the Z-stick from my Mac, manually Excluded and then Included the Multi Sensor several times and finally it was able to Sync. So, my advice is to just keep trying.

Re: Monoprice Z-Wave Plus PIR Multi Sensor

I have my first Monoprice Z-Wave Plus PIR Multi Sensor installed with Indigo and happy with it !
I will probably add an other 2 (and for the time being mostly use the temperature for central heating/cooling/fans ...)
Did anybody work on a battery low alarm ?
Thank you !
