Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

I did a quick search in the forums trying to find out if the Qubino 1-phase Smart Meter ZMNHTDx is supported in Indigo 7 but the only post I found was another user asking a similar question:
http://forums.indigodomo.com/viewtopic.php?f=132&t=17749&p=132720&hilit=qubino+smart+meter#p132720

Here is info about the product. http://qubino.com/products/smart-meter/
And here is the manual: http://qubino.com/download/1093/

I am planning to use this one in combination with a DIN rail mounted contactor to control and measure my brand new cool espresso machine
(https://www.bellabarista.co.uk/vesuvius-dual-boiler-espresso-coffee-machine.html and http://www.home-barista.com/reviews/vesuvius-espresso-machine-review-t32474.html )

I can not use standard in-wall Fibaro or Qubino switches since they are rated for maximum 10A @ 230VAC (2300W) and this espresso machine has a maximum wattage rating of 2500W (i.e. almost 11 amps @ 230VAC). Fuse in the main panel will be replaced from 10A to 13A by a certified electrican. According to Swedish rules it is ok to change from 10A fuse to 13A on 1.5mm2 cables unless the distance is too big between the fuse and the controlled outlet.

I might also just take a Fibaro, Qubino or any other Z-Wave controlled in-wall switch and mount it in an empty DIN rail module and then just control a DIN mounted contactor with it.
Something like this: http://www.vesternet.com/knowledgebase/technical/kb-17 or https://www.m.nu/lador/din-rail-module-box-2mg?nosto=productcategory-nosto-2 in order to have some space inside compared to the first one.

Maybe even by a ready-made one: http://x10modules.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=378 or http://store.zwavecenter.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

If it were from any other vendor, I'd be fairly confident that it would work out of the box. But Qubino seems to interpret specifications somewhat, um, loosely, so it may not. Unfortunately, we won't know until someone tries it out. If it needs some tweaking we can work with the user to figure out what needs to happen.

Hi, I've just bought one . It syncs to Indigo but the only thing working out of the box is power load reporting. I can send and retrieve all config parameters via "Modify Configuration Parameter" function. This is the report from the device:

Indigo Device "019 - Whole Home Meter" Z-Wave Properties:
Indigo Z-Wave Version: 2.0.103
Node ID: 19
Model: Whole Home Meter
Model ID: 00070052

Setting the parameter 100 to 3 and excluding / including again the unit now Indigo shows the two internal relay devices + the meter device.

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

Small Update. After setting parameter 100, these are the Device Details:

Indigo Z-Wave Version: 2.0.103
Node ID: 20
Model: Whole Home Meter
Model ID: 00070052
Manufacturer: Qubino
Manufacturer ID: 0159
Protocol Version: 5.04
Application Version: 6.05
Model Definition Version: 0
Library Type: 3
Class Name: Whole Home Meter
Class Hierarchy: 04 : 31 : 03
Command Class Base: 00
Command Versions: 20v1 85v1 86v1 8Ev1 56v1 59v1 5Av1 5Ev1 60v4 25v1 27v1 32v4 70v1 72v1 73v1 7Av1
Encryption Status: Not Supported
Multi-Endpoint Types: 1:(31 : 03), 2:(10 : 01), 3:(10 : 01)
Multi-Endpoint Classes: 1:[5E 20 27 25 32 8E 85 59], 2:[5E 20 25 8E 85 59], 3:[5E 20 25 8E 85 59]
Multi-Instance Counts: - none -
Features: routing, beaming, energyMeter
Neighbors: 7, 8, 10
Associations: 1:[1]
Config Values: - none -

Indigo now shows me two relays but turning on/off them is not working.
The log shows this energy report:
Z-Wave received "Whole Home Meter" power load to 15.5 W
Z-Wave received "Whole Home Meter" energy total to 235.0 kWh
Z-Wave received "Whole Home Meter" power load to 0.9620 W

According to manual, energy reports should show:
- power load (W)
- voltage
- amperes
- power factor
- kVar (Reactive Power)

So it seems that Indigo shows a few reports only (I suppose 15.5 = Watts, 235 = Volts, 0.9620 = Power factor) with a wrong label / unit of measurement.
The others are missing.

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

Try using the most recent version of Indigo (7.1.1). I think it might fix the problem with the Watts and kWh state values showing the wrong labels.

Also see if it can command the relays in the most recent version, as we made some tweaks to that area recently. If that doesn't work then turn on the Z-Wave debug logging checkbox (via the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Configure... menu item) and try controlling the relays again.

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

Thank you Matt!

Updated Indigo to 7.1.1, re-synced the Smart Meter and now the relays work.
The power load is correctly shown in Watts.
The Smart Meter seems not to update the Indigo status of the relays if locally switched on or off (or via automatic on after power off).

How can I show / grab the other parameters (Volts, amperes etc.) ?

These are the last log reports:

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

That sync isn't showing the module to support endpoints. However, your previous sync does:

Multi-Endpoint Types: 1:(31 : 03), 2:(10 : 01), 3:(10 : 01)
Multi-Endpoint Classes: 1:[5E 20 27 25 32 8E 85 59], 2:[5E 20 25 8E 85 59], 3:[5E 20 25 8E 85 59]

So perhaps you need to reset that config parameter, and exclude/re-include it? The Qubino modules are really fickle in how they report different capabilities based on what parameters are set. Even with the endpoints though it may not provide updates as the relays are switched. See if anything is logged with the Z-Wave Debug logging turned on as the relays are controlled.

Indigo only support W and kWh natively, but you can probably get the other data out via this handy plugin.

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

Hi!

Sorry to hijack this thread but I'm facing issues with energy reporting with Qubino Smart Meter ZMNHTD also. ZMNHTD is recognized as same device as medialica's but it doesnt report energy usage any other way but hitting "Update" button manually on device status display.

I've tried to schedule script to update energy usage hourly by:
Code: Select all
indigo.device.statusRequest(dev)

but it doesnt report anything with that. I also tried ZWave Sensor Logger plugin but it only worked first time and nothing after that. Plugin sends requests (raw commands ) but after the first time no response is received. But everytime I hit the update button, energy usage is received.

Any ideas what to check or try next? I can send the debug log later (I cannot access it now). My Indigo version is 7.1.1

Re: Qubino Smart Meter 1-phase ZMNHTD supported in Indigo?

I managed to put up python script which updates energy readings by using raw commands. I'm not sure how sofisticated it is to use raw commands but it works and I'm happy camper now. :D

However I can test and provide more data if needed. Here is my simple code:
Code: Select all
dev = indigo.devices[578099490]
zwave_plugin = (indigo.server.getPlugin('com.perceptiveautomation.indigoplugin.zwave'))
payload_powerReport = [0x32, 0x01, 0x10]
zwave_plugin.executeAction('sendRawZwaveCommand', deviceId=dev.id, props={'payload': payload_powerReport})
