Zwave.me Keyfob - ZME_KFOB2

Got two ZME_KFOB2 keyfobs but can't seem to connect them to Indigo 7. To include them I am using the following process:

1. Place Indigo in inclusion mode
2. press all 4 buttons for 5 sec
3, press button #2 (wake)
4. press button #1 to include

Which immediately produces the error:

Z-Wave Error stopped controller inclusion mode (failed)

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure if it will help, but try excluding it first (and/or try factory resetting it).

Matt,

Thanks for the suggestion, but had already done both. Same result.

Going to return them and see if is hardware related.

Re: Zwave.me Keyfob - ZME_KFOB2

Matt,

while I wait to get new ones in, I tried again, as I have two.

1. changed the battery
2. reset it back to default
3. turned z-wave debug on
4. included again.

This is what I am getting:

Z-Wave started controller inclusion mode
Z-Wave Debug RCVD inclusionMode ready: 01 07 00 4A 01 01 00 00 B2
Z-Wave Debug RCVD inclusionMode node found: 01 07 00 4A 01 02 00 00 B1
Z-Wave Debug RCVD inclusionMode failed: 01 07 00 4A 01 07 00 00 B4
Z-Wave Debug SENT exitInclusionMode: 01 04 00 4A 05 B4
Z-Wave Debug RCVD exitInclusionMode: 06 (ACK)
Z-Wave Error stopped controller inclusion mode (failed)
Z-Wave Debug RCVD inclusionMode finished: 01 07 00 4A 01 06 00 00 B5
Z-Wave stopped controller inclusion mode

Any suggestions?

Have you tried physically removing the Z-Stick and manually including it without using Indigo? Be sure and exclude it between attempts on the possibility that the Keyfob thinks it did get included successfully on the previous attempt (even though according to the Z-Stick it didn't).

Re: Zwave.me Keyfob - ZME_KFOB2

Matt,

Well, I did as you suggested, and was able to get one of the two key-fobs to work. Of course, still not sure how to use it yet, but that is another questions.

The one key-fob that doesn't work, still behaves as previously mentioned, no luck getting it to work. Any suggestion how to get a better idea on the error message?

After resetting the keyfobs back to default, disconnecting/reconnecting the z-wave adapter, and even resetting the Indigo server, success!! Got everything working.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Great – I'm glad you got them working. Some modules can be difficult get included.
