Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

Any update on this as I also am getting no change when the magnet makes/breaks, looking at the debug it shows "Z-Wave received "021 - Tamper Switch" status update is off" for both the magnet make/break and also the external button close/open. Pressing the tamper shows no update.
This is on Fibaro Door/Window Sensor (FGK10x), firmware 3.02

Indigo 7.0.2 is now available for download and should now detect the sensor changes.

Updated to 7.0.2 and the magnet works 100%, the external switch 100% but the tamper switch fails to change in the GUI, the log file is

Hi Clive,

Are you positive the GUI isn't updating? These two Event Log lines indicate that Indigo is catching the commands and updating the UI:

Code: Select all
Z-Wave received "021 - Tamper Switch" status update is off
...
Z-Wave received "021 - Tamper Switch" status update is on

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

I have the unit operating with a remote switch. The tamper button did report correctly in the UI once, but I see nothing in the log when retesting and no change in the UI. I'll look into it further tomorrow.

The only thing I can report for sure is that the auto off on the tamper did not occure after 5 seconds.

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

Matt,
My mistake (or more my impatience), I was not waiting 5 seconds before the tamper was set to off, I just was pressing the tamper on then off, obviously if it is fixed on a wall then 5 seconds is irrelevant as it should stay like that until someone pulls it off or have to change the battery. I think I also confused myself (not difficult!) by running 7.0.2 on the server but not updating the Mac used to remote to it as that was still on 7.0.1

So yes it is working 100% as well as the magnet and external switch....
My thanks to both of you for Indigo 7.

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

I have the Fibaro FGK10x door/window sensor. Do I understand that I should be able to now see a temperature reading (in addition to tamper and open/close ) with version 7.0.2. I tried syncing the device but still only see two devices listed (tamper and open/close). I see the temperature sensitivity setting when I edit device settings.

I have Fibaro motion sensors and leak detector and I get the temperature reading with these but not with the door/window sensor.

Please advise.

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

My understanding is that you need to connect a temp module to the door sensor

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

Thanks. Missed where is said the Fibaro Door/Window sensor SUPPORTS a temperature sensor.

Any recommendations on the simplest (and cheap and small) temperature only sensor. These BS18B20 sensors are very cheap but I need to connect it to something supported by Indigo (Zwave). I have a few needs for monitoring temperature only. Adding a sensor to a door sensor or using a motion sensor to measure temperature only seems like a waste.

Thanks much,

Jim

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

Just a related question: does the sensor blink always when the door opens or closes or only if it is able to communicate to the Z-Wave stick?

Re: Fibaro Door / Window ZW+ sensor FGK-10x

hi,

I just get no temp-reading. to clarify: I get the parameters for temperature in the setting dialog - bit nowhere a temp-reading. I checked the connection to the ds18b20 several time also the wiring... maybe it is broken? how to find out? also tried with another fkg10x same result...

thx for help!
