[ANSWERED]Vision ZU1401EU-5

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Indigo (running the Demo version) and want to start with Z-Wave.
So, I've bought the Vision ZU1410EU-5 controller stick and ordered a door sensor (which will be delivered next week).

Indigo is installed, the controller is also installed and recognized.

But: can someone please help, I have no idea how to include the sensor when I will get it? The stick doesn't have any button ( like the Aeon one) and the small installation instruction doesn't explain how-to include something.

Thanks in advance,
yassi

Re: Vision ZU1401EU-5

Indigo doesn't officially support Z-Wave interfaces that don't have a way to physically include devices from the stick itself (i.e. a button) at this time. There are some users that are using different software to do the inclusion with other interfaces that don't have the ability to do the inclusion manually.

Hi Jay,

thanks for your reply.

Well, that's sad.
But, I will try to do it with another software ( Domoticz), otherwise I will have to send back the stick and get the Aeon one.

Best,
yassi

Re: [ANSWERED]Vision ZU1401EU-5

Jay, I have to come back to this old thread.

Actually I'm using the Gen.5 Aeon stick, no issues.
But I still have the Vision controller in my drawer, so useless.
Now, with Indigo 7 and NWI it should actually should work, or not? Can't try it, would need a try version of Indigo to install on a separate Mac.
Don't want to replace my Gen. 5 but to know if it's supported (so you also can it add to the database) and maybe to sell it to someone.

Thx,
Yassi

I don't know that anyone has tried that particular Vision Controller (maybe it is an OEM of the UZB – which does work – or another one?). We won't know for sure until someone tries it of course, but it will probably work.

Matt, I could try it and report here, so we can add it, but didn't updated yet to Indigo 7.
