Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

Have you tried it? If not it might be helpful to them to test it and see what response you get.

Computer says no.

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

No haven't tried it yet....posted since I didn't see it in the new modules available in 7. Will give it a shot although I'm not hopeful!

Indeed although my door lock wasn't listed and it does work, so don't give up all hope :)

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

We did add a device definition for the ZW062, but I was unable to get it working correctly. It might have been that my particular module had old/beta firmware though. I'm still waiting for details on Aeotec on how I can update it. So please let us know if it works for you.

Hi Matt,

I added the controller and it's working. :D
Its got Turn On/Off command and in the device settings:

Still have to hook it up to test. Below is the sync log:

The module did add on my previous version, which in my case was also a beta I presume which was v1.03 or some such. I managed to update it to v1.11 using the instructions provided here by Aeotec: https://aeotec.freshdesk.com/support/so ... ware-v1-11
You obviously need a windows machine and just a tip, make sure you have installed the drivers for the z stick otherwise it'll start the update and fail. Took me all of the afternoon to figure that one out and didn't realise since windows said it installed the drivers automatically which obviously it did not!!

P.S. Thanks durosity for the push to try it!!

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

So toggling it ON/OFF does cause the garage to open (or close)?

I'm not sure if we can poll the status of this module or not. Can you turn on debug Z-Wave logging and capture what the module sends when the door is both opened and closed? Do it a few times and annotate the log to describe which log data corresponds to which open/close state.

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

So does the ON command always open the garage (and result in an ON status in Indigo's UI)? If it is already open and you press ON again, does it do nothing?

And likewise, does OFF always correspond to close?

Lastly, if you open/close the garage manually (not from Indigo but via the garage door button), does Indigo's UI update its ON/OFF status to reflect the correct state?

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

Seems like it acts as a toggle switch rather than ON always opening and OFF always closing.

If I select ON the garage door opens, indigo status changes to ON. If I press ON again the garage door closes, indigo status stays ON. Same with the OFF.

If I open/close manually Indigo's UI does not update at all.

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

Indigo 7.0.2 is now available for download. I've tweaked how it handles the Aeotec Garage door controller. Hopefully, the ON command will always open the door and OFF always close it. Please let me know how it works for you.

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

The OFF command closes the door but the ON command still toggles.

Edit: Just checked again today and it does not close the door with the OFF command. On still works but toggles.

Re: Aeotec Garage Door Controller ZW062

So did the behavior change with v7.0.2 in regards to ON toggling the door open/closed? That is, before 7.0.2 was it the case that ON always opened and OFF always closed (and never toggled)?

Lastly, can you turn on debug logging and copy/paste into a reply what occurs with 2 ON presses (which it sounds like like will toggle open then close?) and then 2 OFF presses (which does nothing?).

Before 7.0.2, ON toggled and OFF toggled.
After 7.0.2, ON toggles and OFF does nothing.
