[ANSWERED]: Linear GD00Z-4 GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Opener

Any idea if Indigo can support the above device?

Many thanks,

Re: Linear GD00Z-4 GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Opener

Hi Ted,

We have reports of people with the Vision/Yale Garage Door Tilt Sensor (ZG8101) and the Ecolink Garage Door Tilt Sensor (TILTZWAVE2), but I haven't heard of anyone using the Linear yet. It might work with the current Indigo, or we might need to add a model definition to Indigo for it.

That looks very similar to the IRIS one. I tried the IRIS with no luck.

Define/Sync it from Indigo then copy/paste the Event Log results and we'll look into it.

I think this is the relevant information from the log - I also submitted a new device thing - although the manufacturer was UNKNOWN.

Thanks,

Ted

Hi Ted,

Thanks for the log information – that helps. I've added this one to our list of Z-Wave modules to investigate.

Just checking back on this. Is there anything that I can do to help this along?

Thanks,

Nope - we just need to schedule it for some upcoming release. No details at the moment.

Re: [ANSWERED]: Linear GD00Z-4 GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Op

I've just upgraded to the newest indigo 6 pro version. (I've been using previous versions for several years) It is great!

I eagerly tried to add my second z-wave module to my system (the linear garage door opener) and discovered that it isn't supported yet.

Is there any way for a user (me) to add new modules? If not, will this be supported soon or should I return the linear garage door opener?

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim,

No, we have to add the device definitions. It is on our list and we will be investigating it soon.

Re: [ANSWERED]: Linear GD00Z-4 GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Op

I just got one of these as I keep having false readings from a grave sensor I have been using, Any ETA on this?
If not here is a Plus 1 to add it to the next release :-)

thanks

On our list, but we aren't giving out ETAs anymore. We end up spending too much time trying to manage communicate ETAs then.

Re: [ANSWERED]: Linear GD00Z-4 GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Op

I have been using this with success for about a month now via Vera Plugin. Note that you have to be using UI7 on your vera for it to see it as a Garage Door. But I do look forward to it being supported in Indigo.
