zooZ Zen32

I have two of these devices, They seem like really cool. but Ii can't get them to work.

I assume I should be including them s scene controllers, but that option is greyed out when I attempt to add a new device, so I can only add them as a ZWave device.

Additionally, the "manual" is abysmal.

They are on the Compatible device list, but how the work is a mystery to me

Re: zooZ Zen32

They should add as a relay type device, and then you can create Triggers in Indigo for the different scene commands it sends (Button 1 Pressed, Button 2 Pressed, etc.).

If that isn't working, then re-sync the device in Indigo and copy/paste the Event Log window results into a reply so we can see how Indigo is identifying the device.

Re: zooZ Zen32

I've had one in service for several months now, and added it as a relay type device as Matt described.

More documentation of the parameters can be found here on the Zoom website.

I use triggers of the "Z-wave Command Received" type to watch for button presses (because there are no "button press" events listed when "device changed" is selected as a trigger, only the single "on/off" state). I have used the information in the document referenced above to change LED colors, etc. because the device doesn't appear in the dropdown menu of Zooz devices under brand specific controls (even after a fresh define and sync in 2022.2).

My Define and Sync output looks like this:
