Domitech Z-Wave Plus Smart LED Bulb

I came across these Z-wave Plus bulbs on Amazon, they have a z-wave bulb and an Aeon Labs mini mote for only $35. This is my first Z-wave bulb and it works out of the box as a dimmable switch and is a repeater. Great color, dimmable to 1% and does not have directional light like the old Cree bulbs.

One potential pitfall with these bulbs as I already accidentally did it....if you toggle the switch on and off four times in four seconds the bulb resets. Not kid friendly with that feature.

Re: Domitech Z-Wave Plus Smart LED Bulb

These bulbs just became available on Vesternet (UK)

http://www.vesternet.com/z-wave-domitec ... t-bulb-60w

It is a low price (*), but after buying Aeon LED bulbs and multisensors and assuming they would work I thought I would check here first.

Is this still working okay, any issues at all?

Sam.

* I Can't believe I'm saying 'low price' here, but it is all relative!

"but it is all relative!" One of my favorite phrases...and they have come down in price in US as well ($28.99) versus $36 in April.

Yes, the bulb has worked flawless since April. I use it as an accent light in a dark bedroom of my house once a day. I thought for sure my kids would accidentally do the four times reset feature but knock on wood I've been good.

Re: Domitech Z-Wave Plus Smart LED Bulb

I have a Domitech Z-Wave Plus Smart LED Bulb. It's connected, working, turns on and off, in Indigo

When it turns off it dims over the period of one or two seconds.

Is it possible to have it turn off immediately?

My ultimate goal is to flash the bulbs in response to a doorbell press at approximately a one half or one second rate for five or 10 seconds. Will these bulbs support that?

What is the raw Z-Wave command I can issue to the bulbs to turn them off immediately? I'm sending the command 0x26 0x01 0xFF. This turns off the bulb, but it slowly, over one or two seconds, dims.

Is the entire raw Z-Wave command set for the bulbs available anywhere?

I would suggest you contact Domitech directly via their web site

That's the user manual for an old/alternative version of the same device. It has parameters 9 and 10 to set the speed and dimming level.

Try reading the same parameters from your device (zwave > set Config parameter, not send raw command) to see if they match expected values before you test overwriting them with your own.

This thread is old but I wanted to follow-up that Indigo 7.0 is now available (has been for a while). It adds supports for dozens of new Z-Wave devices, including the Domitech Smart LED Light bulbs.

Re: Domitech Z-Wave Plus Smart LED Bulb

I've just submitted a profile for this device; presumably a new model ID.

Works great out of the box, instant response to on/off/dim, just no parameters.
