Remotec ZXT-120 does not send temp updates?

I recently purchased the really cool Z-Wave product Remotec ZXT-120. I had read about it here on the forums so I decided to buy one as well to be able to Z-Wave control my wall mounted AC here in my geek lab. 8)

I was able to learn the IR codes for my AC with many different branded names like Electrovision / Prem-I-Air / Hace and the model is either called PMINI10SWH or EH033.
http://www.prem-i-air.nl/en/product/510457/10000-btu-per-hour-wall-mounted-air-conditioner-with-electrical-heater

I did not yet switch the ZXT-120 from battery mode FLiRS to continuous listening mode.

My problem is that I do not get temp automatic updates from the ZXT-120. If I press "Send Status Request" I can trigger a temp update.

My ZXT-120 is the one with the latest firmware version 1.8 and here is the log for the device details:

Do I need to switch to continuous listening mode to get temp updates working?

I am currently using another temp sensor in my geek lab to control the AC and with ZXT-120 it works wonderful! It is so great to have automatic cooling of my geek lab when the temp reaches a certain trigger level and then again being able to automatically turn off the cooling when temp drops enough.

Re: Remotec ZXT-120 does not send temp updates?

I excluded my ZXT-120 and changed from FLiRS (battery operation mode) to Always awake mode (using 5VDC power supply).
Mode change was confirmed by 4 LED blinks.
I re-included the ZXT-120 but still no temp updates unless I press Send Status Request which triggers a temp update.
I could of course also change device setting in Indigo to poll the device for example every 5, 10 or 30 minutes but I would prefer to get automated temp updates from the ZXT-120 (if that is supposed to work).

Has anyone else of you that are using the ZXT-120 same issue as I have or do you have automatic temp updates being broadcasted from the ZXT-120 regularly or at least when temp changes?

Re: Remotec ZXT-120 does not send temp updates?

I have a ZXT-120 and it never broadcasted temperatures on it's own, and I also tried the two modes. Now I don't really care, in summer I turn ON the AC when I feel hot (easy from a control page) and I have a schedule set to turn it off in the evening, and in winter the heating is fully automated depending on occupancy and time of day via a set of triggers and schedules....

Ok cool, thanks for confirming it.

I am currently using an Everspring ST814 temp and humidity sensor in the room to trigger AC on and off. Works really fine.
