Not finding the smartphones

I have assigned static IPs to my smartphones and Have tried using both the IP and the MAC address to try to "find" the phones.. No joy
The phones are show as attached to the routers network map

But still show as away

I am seeing this meesage

I dont even have a clue to start to decypher Any help would be appreciated

What kind of wifi base station do you have?

I might suggest you look at the FINGSCAN plugin, from memory it excels with asus routers and is more reliable than other ones that use smnp traffic monitoring.

regterably there is no longer any documentation for that plugin

thanks for the suggestion


worked around by using an applescript not elegant but it works
