Technically yes, maybe even a lamp module.
However I've had bad luck with TVs causing too much noise on the powerline. I've had to put mine behind filter. I guess you could plug in the filter to the module.
Also, some tvs remember the last state you left them in. So if you turn if off via the power button on the tv, turn off the lamp module then turn the lamp module back on the TV will remain off.
