iPad Purchase Plans Poll

Like the alliteration? Anyway, we're curious - what are your plans regarding the iPad?

BTW, check out our (current) plans for Indigo Touch with respect to the iPad.

Have one.
Really like it.
Would like to see Indigo App for it.
Glad you're asking.

Re: iPad Purchase Plans Poll

I think I will get a couple of them in the future.
One for the living room, one or two for the bedroom (his and hers).
But first I have to play with one if/when they are available here.

Re: iPad Purchase Plans Poll

I'll get one if there is an iPad app I can use for troubleshooting Indigo.

Can you say more? What features beyond the current Indigo Touch do you think are needed for "troubleshooting"?

Re: iPad Purchase Plans Poll

I have one and also have a pre-order in for the 3G model. I will likely keep one at home for HA and general use and then take the 3G with me for my commute to the work and casual use around the office. The plan for 5.0 makes sense and larger control pages in the interim will have to do for now.

I'm also waiting for a solid TED 5000 iPad app and will like now add a few IRTrans or IRLinc for control of my media equipment, even if only for power and source selection since a physical remote still seems the easiest way to change volume, channels and move through Tivo menus. Also interesting is RedEye iPhone IR controller that just showed up on Smarthome. Hopefully with multitasking or some sort of Mac app that Indigo could hook into for control there will be a good way of having all controls in one app on the iPhone/iPad.

Definitely count me in for any betas going forward, happy to help test if possible.

Re: iPad Purchase Plans Poll

I would like an app that would connect to a remote server just like Indigo does on a desktop. Something I can use to change or create Time/date actions, triggers, control pages, variables etc.

Does the current Indigo Touch app work without pixel doubling?

Re: iPad Purchase Plans Poll

Love my iPad, but I just haven't been using Indigo Touch on it. It's easier to grab the iPod Touch that's been dedicated as an Indigo Touch controller. Right now there is zero benefit. When Indigo Touch takes advantage of the greater real estate so I can pack more widgets on a page, then I'll start using it on my iPad. In fact, I'm really excited to redo my control pages for the iPad, but I'll guess that I'll have to patiently (yeah right  ) wait.

What about implementing sliders? [ducks for cover]

AFAIK, all iPhone apps work either with or without doubling. Pixel doubling is done at the system level and shouldn't effect the app in any way.

Very cool. 8)

Just checked iTunes and only saw the Indigo App listed as an iPhone App, but will keep looking for the Indigo App in the iPad category.

I'm sure it will be stellar, like the other products from this site.

BTW. At the risk of raising the fury of fellow forum members, but not with that intention... I would be willing to pay a reasonable price for the iPad app. There. I said it.
