220V network relay board?

So the old technical timers on my pool pump is dead and instead of replacing it, I thought it would be good to bring it under control of Indigo. While there are a few plug-ins that work with existing pool automation equipment, in the end, all that automation and control is going to go to waste, as I'll have Indigo do everything it does, and better.

I've seen plugins for some boards, notably this http://www.indigodomo.com/pluginstore/196/, but this particular board can only handle 10Amps, which isn't enough for the pump.

So what I'm looking for is something similar... some kind of network relay board, that can handle both 220V, all the amps needed for the pump, and a plugin so I can run it from Indigo. I'm guessing something like this is out there, and just ready to go, but I've got no idea where to look.

Get a relay that can handle the current you need and have the relay board control the coil on the relay.

Something like this

or This.

Re: 220V network relay board?

this is VERY helpful. I'll look into both options but THINK I see how this would work with the pump I have and how I would get it to work with Indigo!

Sooo all I'd need is something to control the 24v control side from Indigo, and the rest seems easy... <aka famous last words..>

Thanks!

Re: 220V network relay board?

I use the zwave 220v 30 amp switch for pump and heater outside.
Has survived -5 C ..45C for 2 years

Only issue is it has no external switch.
Made a little hole I to the skin and added physical push button with a pin

Works fine

Hi Karl. Do you have a link? I am familiar with this one:

Aeotec Heavy Duty Smart Switch, Z-Wave Plus Home Security ON/OFF controller, 40 amps record electricity consumption https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MBIRF5W/re ... MEbP5SXAWJ

I use the insteon 220v 30a switch since most of my system is insteon. It has a switch for manual control if you need to turn it on without indigo. Been working great for 3+ yrs

Yeah I think I’m going to switch to a micro controller and a contractor when it dies
