Doesn't work with Signe Table Lamp

Hi - I was just wondering if you planned to support the Hue Signe Table Lamp in Hue Lights? I didn't realize that you supported the Signe Floor Lamp, because I would have thought they operated so similarly that that would have enabled Table Lamp functionality as well.

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul.

Thanks for the report. Please provide some debug logs so I can add support. To get debug logs, go to the Plugins menu -> Hue Lights -> Toggle Debugging. Let the log go for about 10 seconds then turn off debug logging the same way. Copy and paste the debug logs in your reply or in a private message. Let me know the name you’ve given the Signe Table Lamp so I can find it in the log.

Hi Peter.

Thanks for the report. Philips don't provide details on new products any longer. So I need to know what capabilities the light has as well as the exact model ID. This can usually be obtained from within the Hue app on your mobile device. A screenshot of the new light details that shows the Model and device type and name would probably work.

I've attached a screenshot from the app - its a white and colour ambience product if that helps
Model ID: 4080148P9
Here is a link to the Philips product page https://www.philips-hue.com/en-gb/p/hue-white-and-colour-ambiance-signe-table-light/4080148P9

BTW... I manually edited the devices py file and it's working fine as far as I can tell

Perfect! Yes, knowing that it's a color and "ambiance" (color temperature support) light does help. Thanks. I'll add it to the supported-devices.py file in the next patch release of the plugin. I'm glad you were able to add it to that file and verify it's working as well. That's helpful.

Hey Peter.

Sounds good. Worst case, you can temporarily enable debug logging (Plugins menu -> Hue Lights -> Toggle Debugging) and I can find the new light from those logs (assuming you provide the name you've assigned it in the Hue app).

The switch is called "Lounge Dimmer" but I can't find that text string in the log BTW
Thanks again

Hi Peter.

Oh! It's a new dimmer switch! I misread that as a dimmable light. Thank you for the debug logs. Unfortunately, because of how frequently the Hue Lights plugin queries the Hue bridge for sensor updates (once per second), to keep debug logs from growing uncontrollably fast, it doesn't log sensor response data from the bridge even in debug logging mode. I may need to look into alternate solutions, though, for situations like this since the Hue app, as you noted, doesn't show model IDs for "accessories" any longer.

However, do you have your Hue devices synced with HomeKit so you can access them in the Home app? If so, you can still find the model ID of all your accessories by long-pressing the switch within the Home app. That will bring up the settings in HomeKit for that switch. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see the "Model" listed. That's the information I need. You can also try adding it yourself to the supportedDevices.py file in the "kSwitchDeviceIDs" list.
