Updating to the latest plugin broke ALL my Hue Groups

What a total disaster. I have almost all my hue strips controlled by Hue Groups through the Hue plugin, which has worked flawlessly for YEARS.

Updated today and now somehow all of my Hue Groups are locked to an old IP address my Hue bridge once had, and I cannot change the IP in the Hue Groups. If I select the IP of where the Hue Bridge is, it shows a blank list instead of my Hue Groups.

This is a major screw up for my setup, and really frustrating - especially as it used to be rock solid.

In fact, the whole new plugin dialogue and setup procedure is convoluted and cumbersome compared to the old plugin... it took me 30+ minutes just to figure out how to re-sync my Bridge.

Pretty disappointing IMO.

It would be great If you could let me know how I can re-sync my Hue Groups without deleting them.... my whole set up is a total mess right now.

you should be able to change the ip number of your hue bridge in config

1. open config, click on A. Change ..:

2. select your hue bridge # and enter new ip number

shown here: change ip from 192.168.1.232 to 192.168.1.22

then click on confirm and save (at the bottom)

that should do it. if i understand you issues correctly. you can not change the ip number anywhere else, ie not in groups, devices ...

the groups / devices / .. are assigned to the hue bridge # (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) not to the IP number 192.168.1.x

ps there is a function in menu to create all new devices / groups sensors from the bridge

That latest build fixed it afaik, although now I have two different Hue bridges (with the same IP) listed as an option in the Hue plugin, even though I only have 1 bridge.

I guess you have just one hue bridge.

Check which bridge # the devices are assigned to. It should be # 0. If so delete #1
