With certain versions of hue firmware, the osram lights will pair directly to hue hub. Once paired to hue hub, indigo plugin will work fine, controlling hue devices.

Hi Nathan,

i have added 2 additional Osram Lightify products to the supported devices file:
LIGHTIFY Flex RGBW

maybe you can add it into the official plugin in a future release.

Thanks!

Hi Nathan,

I recently bought the Classic A60 RGBW lights and the PAR16 50 TW lights. Both lights have been successfully added to the hue hub and I can see it in the iOS app. However, they do not show up in the plugin. I tried editing the file above to no avail. I also don't see the Classic A60 RGBW in the supported devices. I am on plugin version 1.6.5. Btw, the PAR16 50 TW will be a Color Temperature only device.

Hi.

Thanks for the report. In the iOS app, if you go to Settings then Info, what do you see listed as the "Model" for the 2 new lights you've paired with the Hue hub? I might need to add them to the Hue Lights plugin supported devices.

Osram Lightify

Hi Nathan,

Funnily there's no info about the model in the app.

Hi again.

Okay, then I'll need to get a debug log dump from you. Enable debug logging with the Plugins -> Hue Lights -> Toggle Debug Logging menu option then reload the plugin with Plugins -> Hue Lights -> Reload. Paste in the entire log content from when you reload the plugin to where is shows "Loaded xxx lights" (where xxx is the number of lights it loaded). I'll look through that debug log and find what model ID those lights are showing up as so they can be added to the compatible device list in the plugin.

Hi Nathan,

Was just looking through the app and in the Settings > About area I can see the models just as described above one is listed as Classic A60 RGBW and the other is PAR16 50 TW. I will post the log dump as well.

I was told pretty definitively that the Osram Lightify Gardenlights are not the right version of Zigbee to work with a Hue Hub. Has this changed somehow? Perhaps I have an older model.

Couldn't make them even power up last time I tried anyway.

Version 1.6.6 Posted

  • Added support for the Osram Classic A60 RGBW color bulb.
  • Added support for the Osram Flex RGBW color light strip.
  • Added support for the Osram PAR16 50 TW color temperature bulb.
  • Updated the supported features of the Osram Classic A60 TW color temperature bulb to correctly reflect its color temperature support.

I've received the Garden Mini Poles and they definitely work with hue. Unfortunately there is no model number mentioned in the hue app. It just shows up as Extended color light. I can only add it to the plugin as a group (room) and not as an individual light. I had a look at the debug log and couldn't find a model id there either (unless I'm looking for the wrong thing!). Any way around Nathan?

Hi.

Not really any way around if there’s no model ID as that’s what the plugin uses to determine what features it supports. Send (paste in) the debug log just after the plugin is reloaded and let me see if I can find anything.

Using another app, hueDynamic, I was able to find the model id of the lights. They're listed as OSRAM Gardenpole Mini RGBW OSRAM
Hope that helps.
