Hue Hub - Connection Failure - but still works

Hue Lights Error Failed to connect to the Hue hub at 192.168.0.10 after 4 seconds. - Check that the hub is connected and turned on.

I am getting the above errors every 30 minutes.

Hue lights all seem to be operating fine, from Hue and Indigo.

The Hue Hub and Mac are on Cat5 on the same Extreme.

So I can only guess this is a glitch in the Hub and is unresponsive every 30 mins?

Any ideas?

Hi there.

Interesting issue. I'm afraid I don't have any definitive answers, just guesses.

You said the Mac is connected to the AirPort Extreme through an Ethernet cable. Do you also have Wi-Fi turned on? If so, try turning it off. Depending on the Service Order defined in your Network preference pane, the computer may be attempting to establish connections via Wi-Fi before attempting via Ethernet which may be causing issues.

Maybe a damaged Ethernet cable between your Mac and the Extreme or the Hue hub and the Extreme.
