help with conditions

No matter what I put into conditions they are always true (any, all, none / greater or less )

if I compare a variable to a number does the variable have to have a "number" as number or can it be a text number?

[edit]
even if i compare a variable to be not equal to itself it is true:
if variable xxx is not equal to variable xxx ==> is true

specifically:

"All" "of the following rules are true"
"If variable" Stanford_Rain_Rate "is not equal to" "variable" Stanford_Rain_Rate

[end edit]

thx

Re: help with conditions

I just did a quick test to recreate your var != var test and it's correctly skipping the actions. How are you testing? If you're trying to test by clicking the "Execute Actions Now" button that won't work because we don't evaluate the conditions - it does exactly what the title says and executes all actions associated with the trigger/schedule without regard to the conditions specified.

Re: help with conditions

that would be a good feature to include the conditions when doing execute now...

Re: help with conditions

Yep, it's on the list but has gotten bumped regularly. Maybe in a dot release... ;)

It would be a different button probably - "Execute Actions Now" is pretty self-explanatory IMO (and the tooltip for the button makes it clear conditions are ignored).

Re: help with conditions

that button would really help in checking the conditions.... but probably not high on the list
