where can you "see" the signal strength?

and how do you connect the antenna, where can u buy one?

You can use any 433.92MHz antenna.
remove the antenna from the PCR800,
Cut the antenna cable to remove the SMA connector and solder the antenna cable to the point were to original antenna was.
