Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

The new version fixed a number of my setup issues. I just installed version 1.1 today and then saw this thread. Can you update the user contribution library with the latest version?

RFXTRX compatible doorbell?

Need to buy a new doorbell and would like to integrate with Indigo without much effort.

Has anyone successfully, reliably linked a doorbell to Indigo using this plugin? Which one?

Thanks,
MJC

You could always just get an cheapo one without a light from the hardware store and wire it to the exterior contacts of an open close sensor as long as the sensor is protected from the elements somehow. 40 bucks and native insteon setup. Doesn't get much easier than that.

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

Hello

First, thanks for all the work you have done on the RFXCOM plugin.

I am having an issue with rollertrol blinds and the plugin. I am not able to see the radio transmission in the logs and therefore unable to add the motors as a device. I am using version 1.3.5. It does not have BlindsT0 as a protocol option and as I understand it this is the protocol that rollertrol uses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a screen shot of my configure screen and log output.

Upon testing all protocols, I am only see a log entry for a remote button press when ARC is checked and then only if it is checked alone with all others unchecked.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

Figured it out. I did not know a PC is required to get the rollertrol (BlindsT0) protocol enabled/installed on the RFXCOM. Doh!

Thanks to bluepine for the info and directions.

Once I get this all working I plan on writing a HOW TO for others.

RFXCOM error message

After several days of running I get this kind of error message from RFXCOM and the data does not get updated anymore. This is repeats every 3-5 days or so..

RFXCOM Error undecoded packet received: 10 03 09 C0 5C 2A 19 04 D9 00 00 50 63 09 C0 53 04

dis- and reconnecting the USB cable solves the problem.

Versions used:
RFXrec433 batch 0913
RFXCOM Software version 1.1.4
USBserial-08WCLA8J (dont think this is relevant..)

Any suggestion? - Can I enable / disable the plugin automatically once per day - may be that would solve it.

Karl

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

Using plug-in 1.3.5 with Oregon Scientific model THGR122NX and receiving the following error:

RFXCOM initializing communication on port /dev/cu.usbserial-08WCLALV at speed 38400
RFXCOM connected to RFXrec 433.92 MHz, firmware version 67
RFXCOM currently enabled receiver protocols: Oregon Scientific
RFXCOM enabling undecoded packet displaying
RFXCOM Error unknown device detected (id = 301, type = 82). Select a Temperature sensor (with humidity) from the list of devices

According to notes on the forum, the thermometer/hygro sensor should be device type 80, not 82. Any help appreciated.

UPDATE

Jul 24, 2013 7:48:00 AM

RFXCOM Debug processing: 10 82 1 5 45 1 0 198 53 0 105 (0A 52 01 05 2D 01 00 C6 35 00 69)
RFXCOM Debug Temp sensor 301 now 67.64 degrees and 53 humidity.
RFXCOM Debug ++++++++++++++

Turning on debug mode now seems to show the sensor working in event log. How do I access this information as a variable? Using Indigo 6.0.0 b10.

Thanks for any info.

Steve
