RFXtrx433E - Updating Firmware - anyone done it?

Anyone updated the firmware for the RFXtrx433E?
Was it useful without a corresponding plugin update?
Which one recommended Type 1 or Type 2.
Any thoughts?

The preferred firmware for the RFXtrx433E is the Pro1 firmware.
See also chapter 2.2.2. in the RFXtrx User Guide (available on the RFXCOM downloads page) for the list of supported protocols in each firmware type.
And check blog.rfxcom.com for the latest changes in the firmware.
