Oregon scientific wind direction degrees # vs direction Text

the direction # vs the direction text shows the following for Oregon wind DirectionSensor via RFXcom plugin and and NOAA data plugin.

Code: Select all
direction text  NOAA     Org Scientific Math std
East            270         90            0
North           0            0           90
West            90          270         180
South           180         180         270

NOAA sends North at 0 degrees, same as Oregon scientific, math std is N at 90 degrees

Then NOAA goes counter clock wise and Oregon goes clock wise, math goes counter clockwise

I can understand NOAA plugin, but the RFXcom seems to be wrong. I have never seen clockwise degree convention for directions.

that's really confusing and makes usage of the data very difficult.

I believe OREGON via RFXcom is wrong.

RFXcom guys, could you check the code please?
Do you need data I could supply.

thanks

Karl
