Extending the range of the RFXtrx433

Hi,

I have a couple of LW/RF sockets and switches that are just out of range of the standard RFXtrx433. I've tested it's a range issue by moving the sockets closer and they work without fault.

I've seen a couple of posts about how to extend the range of the receiver but also cautionary posts about not extending the transmitter.

Any advice on how I can solve this?

Thanks,

Jeremy.

Re: Extending the range of the RFXtrx433

To increase the receiving range you can connect for example a 190073 Conrad 433MHz ground plane. This will also increase the transmit range.
This adapter can be used for SMA- to BNC

The location of the sensor and the RFXCOM is also important if the RF signal has to pass through walls. See chapter 2.5 in the RFXtrx User Guide
