In the plugin's Settings dialog, check the debug checkbox. Reload the plugin, then wait for everything to be quiet and trigger the motion. Paste the entire Indigo log since the reload here (or send it to me as a PM).

Cheers

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo

In the indigo log files it gives errors saying : attmept to use missing device id 1327085259 and object has no devicetypeid if that helps.

When i try to enable debug messages it says error validating fields hover over red field to see why, but there is no red field.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo

Just wondering, but is anyone here doing anything interesting with PTZ setups? I just got two of the foscam FI9821Ws. Previously all my existing cameras are stationary and have been triggered by insteon motion sensors. I got the FI9821Ws since they are great cameras for the price anyway, but haven't thought of how one could use the automatable positioning for home automation/security purposes w/Indigo.

Thanks!

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo

I use a ptz in the kitchen by the window, I've got it setup to automatically move to a preset position every time the back door opens, whenever the alarm is set or tripped and to move between 3 preset positions every 1 min when nobody is home. I also plan to modify the cat flap with a magnetic switch to monitor when the cat leaves/returns but trying to get her to use the damned thing first is more important...

Computer says no.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo

Just for reference I'm using foscam 8918e cameras with a 4 license version of SecuritySpy which captures and uploads to an ftp server any motion detected when we are away. It's also smart enough not to record when the cams are moving.

Computer says no.

Oh, clever. Thanks for sharing that technique — that is something I can do: rotate the cameras to point at a new location if there's motion in that location.

Thanks!

Hey Perry,

The "Set Overlay" action appears to be broken with SS 3.0.2.

Indigo 6.0.0 b7
Plugin Version 1.1.1

Using command: ="Outdoor Temp. C " + Wunderground_Temperature_C + " +d"

Thanks.

It looks like overlay parameter setting is entirely broken in SS 3. Use your web browser to tell your SecuritySpy to change the overlay text on a camera; when I do that, nothing happens. Ditto on size and position changes. How about on your version? (It works from SecuritySpy's internal UI, of course. I'm talking about the Camera Settings web page.)

Humm, appears to work here thru the SS web interface, but I am now on SS 3.0.3, let me know how else I can help.

Thanks again Perry, you really need a donation link on your site.

It turns out there was both a bug in SecuritySpy 3.0.2, and I needed to change the plugin to accommodate a change in SecuritySpy 3. Cynical SecuritySpy 1.4.1 (just posted) solves the issue, as long as you use at least SecuritySpy 3.0.3.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo

Might anyone have an example of a SecuritySpy plugin control page
that incorporates pan/tilt controls?

I'm setting up an outdoor Panasonic dome cam with pan/tilt controls
and am curious how those controls may function on a control page.

Any advice on setting it up greatly appreciated as well!

Thanks,

Carl

That's a (stupid) bug. I'll fix it in the next version. Sorry.
