Any support for iTach IP2SL?

I've used the Cynical Cache plugin a few times with the iTach IR version, but when I purchased a IP2SL (iTach serial) version I was unable to find any support within the plugin. I'm just interested in sending hex codes to control a video matrix. While I could definitely do it using IR, I would prefer to move to RS-232 if possible so I could have a little more of a robust option. If the Cynical Cache plugin doesn't work, does anyone know of an Indigo plugin or option that would?

I've never used Cynical Cache for that (just IR), but I thought it WAS supported. I also recall a plugin called 'Simple Serial' from back in the day (or very likely still active and supported) that did a similar thing.

I have been controling RS232 devices with a IP2SL and Perry's wonderful plugin for years.
