A/V Device States (Maintaining status in Indigo)

I know there are sensors such as the GC-SP1 AC/DC Voltage Sensor which can sense the status of a device. I am curious if anyone has come up with logical solutions on a control page to keep power icons or video source icons in sync with any given device controlled via IR.

Unless you've got some way to get feedback or only use indigo to control it, there is no good way to keep it something like input setting for your receiver in sync.
