Denon AVR-4311CI & AVR-3312CI

Hi,
First off an HUGE THANKS as your plugins are great!

However, I am having Volume issues. On both units it will take the first volume change, but not any subsequent. I use in both the formula:

=current+step "Volume Up"
=current-step "Volume Down"

I have tried MVUP in the thread with no luck. (And a host of other variations).

Any suggestions? All other functions work great!

Thanks Again!
Rob

Which one do you have? (I have an AVR-3312CI, so I know it works for me. :-)

Anyway, let's see what's going on. In the plugin's configuration dialog, set the Debug modules field to denon.avr. Reload the plugin and perform your experiment to show how it's not working. Then send me the (entire) log output.

Cheers

Thanks Perry. I will as I have Both Denon's. I'll sequentially test them and report back. Thanks!
Rob

FYI I assume you use =current+step for volume up?

That's the canonical way to say "a wee bit louder." For testing, you can replace that with a constant (say, -20) and see if that works. Alternate between two values for a simple test.

I am having this exact same problem. I didn't see any solution here.
Please help.

Bump.

Any solution? Plugin just freezes after a command is issued.

George,

You piled into a three year-old thread with a "me too." That's not going to work. Explain your problem in a new thread, with as much information as you can provide. If you look back in this thread, you'll see instructions on how to increase logging so you can provide better information.

Cheers

Re: Denon AVR-4311CI & AVR-3312CI

Hi,
I have 3 denon avrs. 1 x4000 and 2 3313ci's. They all have the same issue. I tried with the global cache ip2sl and direct ip and also same issue. So here is the issue:
When i issue a command such as volume up, it works, but then nothing works after that for about 2 minutes unless i restart the plugin.
I have tried this with keep alive checked and unchecked. No difference.
I am lying in bed right now somi can get you the log, but when i looked at it, it just shows the trigger that was activated to make the volume chage. No response or any communication with the denon. Once it comes back to life, them the log shows the communication.

Not sure if you saw this. I will post in a new thread.
