Announce to external speaker

Looking through the tutorials and scripting, how would I announce to Sonos, Alexa, or Google home?

The plugin only uses the built-in speech synthesizer. Given the vast number of possible speech clients, the plugin doesn't provide any other speech hooks. Its primary purpose is constructing the announcement strings.
