Schlage BE469 Issues

First, it locks, unlocks and reports status correctly in Indigo.

However, I can't seem to read back any user pins, and I don't seem to be getting any unlock triggers (on either specific user numbers, or any user number).

The log does report the lock and unlock via the keypad:

Z-Wave received "Front Door Lock" status update locked (via keypad)
Z-Wave received "Front Door Lock" status update unlocked (via keypad)

Is this normal behavior for the BE469 and this plugin?

Thanks!
Chance

Turn on debugging for the plugin (Plugins > Zwave Lock Manager > Configure)

Do you see any logs about the lock at all, from the plugin? (The snippets above are from pure Indigo, not the plugin).

Interesting....

I'll have to refresh my memory of the Zwave codes to see what is happening with PINs.

It's possible the BE649 isn't fully defined as a lock type by Devs, and it's possible that I ignore anything that's not a Lock - but I can't remember!

OK, no worries. Thanks for looking into it.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Just wanted to add some insight here for anyone with these locks.

I have these locks configured as well. Once successfully included into the network, they function.

I had trouble setting PIN codes until I remembered that one lock hadn't been changed from the 4-pin lock code length to a different number of digits. Once I changed that, I am able to set/reset/delete user PINs on all the locks via ZWave Lock Manager actions without issue.

I do see entries in the audit log for user pin entries:

Status: User 1 unlocked door [Node: 60]

Note that the Schlage locks do not report the actual user PIN when requested. You'll get one of two responses:

Status: User code 3 is blank [Node: 58]

This indicates that code 3 is currently unassigned (deleted)

or

Status: User code 2 is 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A [Node: 58]

2A is an asterisk :-)

I have not tried the triggers from the ZWave Lock Manager plugin (it won't be useful to me until it can tell me WHO unlocked the door without having to create umpteen triggers for each user-lock combination), but since it is producing log entries, it should work just fine.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info on the codes. However, all I get in my Indigo log is that the door was unlocked via keypad with no mention of a User #.

Forgive me for the stupid question (I'm new to Indigo), but where is this audit log that you speak of?

Thanks!

The audit log is just the log you're already looking at. :-)

I've not had chance to look at my coding yet.

Figured as much, but wasn't sure as his status was so different than mine.

Thanks again

Those responses he's posting are all from lock manager, but as lock manager seems to be ignoring your lock, that's why you're not getting any. :-(

Were you able to see why Lock Manager is ignoring my particular lock?

Can you try 1.0.31 on the link in the announcements thread?

Turn on debugging and see what happens; I had commented out some of the debug lines before so they weren't showing in your log, and also I've changed the if() test in the current beta so I've back-copied that section of code into .31 to see if that helps.
