Speakers have gone MIA...

I added an additional airfoil speaker to my network today (Sabrent WiFi adapter) but could not get it to appear in the speaker list. I reset the speaker list and still nothing. I see all the speakers still in the Airfoil window, and I can play through them with the Say in Indigo, with System Audio set as the input. But I cannot get any of them to appear in the speaker list again. What am I doing wrong? Mac Mini, El Capitan, Indigo Pro 6.1.4. The following is from the debug mode. Any ideas?

Airfoil Debug runConcurrentThread: update()
Disabling plugin "Airfoil 1.1.9"
Stopping plugin "Airfoil 1.1.9" (pid 1319)
Stopped plugin "Airfoil 1.1.9"
Enabling plugin "Airfoil 1.1.9"
Starting plugin "Airfoil 1.1.9" (pid 7479)
Started plugin "Airfoil 1.1.9"

Re: Speakers have gone MIA...

Make sure you don't have multiple copies of the Airfoil app on your Mac - that can cause failures like this.

Re: Speakers have gone MIA...

Thanks Jay, I had seen your earlier troubleshooting post on that and checked. I just double-checked and even renamed the Airfoil Speakers app just in case. Restarted the plugin but no luck.

Just to confirm, in Airfoil I should have the output source set as the system, audio and NOT Indigo, correct? Seems like that is the only way I got it to work before.

RESOLVED - Re: Speakers have gone MIA...

My apologies, Jay...I'm a bit embarrassed. I had been running my demo Indigo from my Laptop, and transitioned to the Mac Mini went I bought the Pro version a few days ago. I'm still in the habit of running Indigo (client only now) from the laptop, so (of course) I searched my laptop for dupe copies of Airfoil instead of the Mac Mini server. Then I had the DUH! moment, and found the dupe copy on the mini. Speakers are back. :oops:
Thanks again.
Jim
