SHould I expect Amazon Echo plugin to find.....

......my zwave TRV devices? I installed the Amazon Echo-Hue emulator and I keep seeing reference to publishing devices to it so the plugin will find them. How do I do that?

Did you check out the directions? It tells you how to publish Indigo devices.

To be specific, however, thermostats aren't directly supported because the Hue bridge doesn't support anything but lights (on/off/dim). However, you can create a Virtual On/Off device and have the ON and OFF action groups do anything so that may be an option.

I must be being thick...I can't see anywhere that talks about publishing devices. However, I'll keep looking. Thanks

On this page, start at the Managing Devices section and continue reading...

Re: SHould I expect Amazon Echo plugin to find.....

On the dialog entitled "Configure Emulated Hue Bridge" there are no devices in the drop down for me to publish....maybe I'm expecting something that I can't do....assign any old device already within Indigo to the virtual Hue bridge.

Thanks for the help, BTW

What kind of devices do you have? The Hue hub (and therefore the plugin) only supports on/off and dimmer devices.

Like Jay said, create a virtual ON/OFF device and have it do what you would like the Echo to control. Then pick that virtual device from the list.
