macOS Sierra

Now that Apple has set a release date (September 20th), we'd like to remind everyone once again:

NEVER upgrade a mission critical Mac (like your Indigo server) to the first release of a new OS. It rarely ever ends well. We'll post followups on this thread as we find/fix any issues that have come up. But often times the bugs introduced take a while to evaluate and come up with workarounds (and sometimes it's just not possible until Apple fixes the bug) so we highly recommend everyone wait until at least the 10.12.1 release (we wait to upgrade our production systems to .2 or even .3 depending on how much chatter we hear on the net about OS bugs). FYI, El Capitan still has some outstanding bugs that effect Indigo that we can't work around, though some of them can be alleviated by hacking the OS install. There are a few others though that simply can't be worked around and those users have been forced to switch back to Yosemite.

Some of you will ignore this advice and upgrade anyway. We'll do what we can to help, but we are working extremely hard (and long hours) on getting Indigo 7 ready to ship, so we may not be able to spend a lot of time diagnosing issues related to Sierra. You have been warned.

Re: macOS Sierra

There seems to be some confusion about what we're saying in this topic. I've posted a reply on another topic that maybe can shed some light on what we're trying to get across to everyone.
