As some of you may have heard, Apple announced SiriKit, an API for apps to integrate with Siri. Well, don't get too excited: it's limited to a relatively small set of service type apps:
I suppose we shouldn't be surprised since allowing Siri control of other non-HomeKit devices would eliminate one of the few advantages HomeKit has over other smarthome technologies.
We're waiting for the HomeKit session tomorrow night, but frankly don't expect that anything will change on the front as well.
