Indigo Reflector Subscriptions Now Available

As discussed in our newsletter last month, we are bringing our Indigo Reflector Service (formerly Prism Reflectors) out of beta. We've supplied reflectors as a free beta for 6 years, and now they will be an optional paid feature of Indigo. We are offering two subscription options (each less than one cup of coffee per month):

  1. Monthly Reflector Subscriptions – $2.95 USD, billed monthly until cancelled.
  2. Yearly Reflector Subscriptions – $29.95 USD, billed annually until cancelled. Yearly subscriptions represent a 15% savings over the monthly cost.

To create a subscription for your reflector, just go to the Indigo Reflector website and log in using your existing Prism account information (if you can't log in, contact us and we'll help you out). Click on the "subscribe" link next to your reflector and you'll go to the International Indigo Store where you can select the subscription option that's best for you.

Beginning on Thursday, September 4th, 2014 all existing reflector accounts that don't have an active subscription will expire and you will no longer be able to connect to them. At that time, you may still activate a subscription for your expired reflector, just follow the procedure outlined above. After 90 days, we'll delete reflectors and accounts that don't have any active reflector subscriptions.

Note: due to changes required to support paid subscriptions, reflectors will only be available in Indigo 5 (specifically, Indigo 5.1.8 or greater, though v5.1.12 has improved expiration messaging) and Indigo 6 (v6.0.14 recommended for improved expiration messaging). If you want to continue to use a reflector and you are using Indigo 4 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to Indigo 6. If you are already using Indigo 5 but it's an older version, then visit the downloads page to get the latest Indigo 5 installer (it's free for existing Indigo 5 customers).

We believe the Indigo Reflector Service is a valuable and easy-to-use way to access your Indigo Server from anywhere, and we hope you do as well. By having a minimal charge for this service it will help ensure we can continue to pay the server and bandwidth costs needed to reliably run it. Thanks for your continued support.
