Re: uniFi-WiFI-AP: discussions

I imagine this may be because of some new old devices I've recently rebooted, but I thought I would ask to be sure:
Code: Select all
uniFiAP                         in Line '2781' has error='NameNotUniqueError'

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

Re: uniFi-WiFI-AP: discussions

which version are your using? .. in the latest line 2781 is empty .. but in the section where a device gets created...
It tries to cerate a device:
unifi-MAC#

is this error recurring or just once?

I have added code that tries to create a device if first try fails with a random number added to the name : unifi-randNumber-macNumber
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ci152wiafifnas6/uniFiAP-v-7-4-42.zip?dl=1

if your could try that

Re: uniFi-WiFI-AP: discussions

either
- your connection is bad
- the config parameter for the prompt is not set properly .. but only for the gateway
- set timeout for expect DICT in config higher
- or bug..

now mine works.. don't know where to look..

Re: uniFi-WiFI-AP: discussions

Karl,

Continuously (every 1 min) getting the following in the Indigo log:

uniFiAP UniFi-Switch-Garage-EGS2108P -NPIB76F0A
uniFiAP UniFi-Switch-Garage-EGS2108P 192.168.2.083-AP-Office

Any suggestions?

Re: uniFi-WiFI-AP: discussions

Could you check if the notes field gets constantly changed?
The logfile entry only happens when the notes field gets updated. That should only happen very rarely.

Karl,

yep, the notes field keeps changing, but not in all devices.

Hope this helps.

Re: uniFi-WiFI-AP: discussions

Example 1:

original text in comments: 192.168.X.XX-Amazon Echo-Wifi=WiFi
manually changed it to: 192.168.X.XX-Amazon Echo-Wifi

A few seconds later, it goes back to the original.

Example 2:

original text in comments: 192.168.X.66-DHCP-Wifi
manually changed it to: 192.168.X.66-Wifi

A few seconds, it automatic changed to: 192.168.X.149.-TIVO-846000190AF6EBE (Incorrect IP and not the name of the device)
A few seconds more, it changed to: 192.168.X.66-TIVO-846000190AF6EBE (correct IP but again not the name of the device)

In other words, the comments keep moving...
