Mandatory update for iOS 11

I published a new version of homebridge-indigo that doesn't have any changes other than to require the latest version of the underlying Homebridge and HAP-NodeJS projects. Those projects have incorporated changes that are required for homebridge to function properly with iOS 11, based on the latest betas. These updates should not impact iOS 10 or earlier versions, so I encourage everyone to update to the latest version.

To get the new version, just update:
Code: Select all
sudo npm update -g homebridge
sudo npm update -g homebridge-indigo
and then restart your instance of homebridge.

iOS 11 is out today - just a reminder that you need to do this upgrade if any of your devices move to iOS 11.

This also applies if you have any Apple TVs updating to the latest version of tvOS.

I would recommend updating your iOS and Apple TVs as close together as possible so that you're not running different versions together.

There are several big changes in iOS :

The apps do not have access to the lower network info any more E.g. Network scanners will loose info on mac numbers.
