"Verify Failed"

I was out of town last week. Started HomeBridge on 9/30, and mostly it ran fine except for:

Code: Select all
[10/1/2016, 11:43:32 AM] [Two Dog Hill] Pass Through: query(brightness) => 0
Verify Fail
Layer Decrypt fail!
[10/1/2016, 7:31:19 PM] [Two Dog Hill] Raise this song's rating: getActionState() => false

It kept running fine though at that point.

This afternoon, I'm finally back home. This happened:
Code: Select all
[10/6/2016, 12:20:30 PM] [Two Dog Hill] Indigo request: http://127.0.0.1:8176/devices/Pass%20Through.json
[10/6/2016, 12:20:30 PM] [Two Dog Hill] Pass Through: query(brightness) => 0
Verify Fail
Layer Decrypt fail!
Verify Fail
Layer Decrypt fail!

And THIS one crashed the process. It started back up fine with "homebridge -D" but now I wonder what's happening and how to stop it from happening again. Any idea?

This appears to be an underlying homebridge issue with iOS 10. A bug has been filed here: https://github.com/nfarina/homebridge/issues/791

The bug has been marked as fixed in homebridge, so you should try updating and see if it is fixed for you.

To update, follow the instructions in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=191&t=16904

Thanks! I've done those installs now. Hopefully it's fixed.

EDIT: And after a full day+, no crashes of HomeBridge! That's 2 or 3 times longer than it was running without a crash.

Just want to add that after upgrading Homebridge, it has been running continuously for 3 days. Thanks!

Same here. Still solid! Though it does seem like somewhere between Indigo and the Home App, I have a few things appearing that should be ignored, and sometimes I press one accessory in Home and another thing happens. This isn't happening often enough for me to be sure I'm not fumble fingering, or to be sure what's happening in general.

I do have some dimmers that aren't showing as dimmers, and other things that aren't that show as dimmers. And one action group that shows as an open door!
