What to do with Sensors?

Hi

I am trying to define my Homekit Home with Indigo properly.
The question is, what can I do with my window sensors, motion sensors etc.?
They all apear as lightbulbs or switches. Is there no equivalent for sensors in homekit?
TIA
Wilhelm

HomeKit does not currently support sensors.

hm, how does Elgato do it with their window sensors?
Are they shown as bulbs or switches as well?
Does anybody know?

BTW the problem with that is that siri tries to set the motion sensors to on as well, when I switch on the lights in a room. And sadly depending on the kind of sensor it sometimes succeeds which then triggers some actions.

Ok, I found out a little more.
Currently these are the known accesories of homekit:

// Known category values. Category is a hint to iOS clients about what "type" of Accessory this represents, for UI only.
Accessory.Categories = {
OTHER: 1,
BRIDGE: 2,
FAN: 3,
GARAGE_DOOR_OPENER: 4,
LIGHTBULB: 5,
DOOR_LOCK: 6,
OUTLET: 7,
SWITCH: 8,
THERMOSTAT: 9,
SENSOR: 10,
ALARM_SYSTEM: 11,
DOOR: 12,
WINDOW: 13,
WINDOW_COVERING: 14,
PROGRAMMABLE_SWITCH: 15,
RANGE_EXTENDER: 16
}

Curious about this as well. Elegato just released a firmware update to their door/window sensor to allow it to be used within rules. Would love to convert some of my less involved triggers to HomeKit rules and be able to check the status of my Z-Wave door/window sensors with Siri.

I use Indigo for all the "heavy lifting" using sensors for triggers and setting variables; but, asking "Hey Siri, what's the temperature in my study" would be useful.
