Access request to other Indigo Server

Hi all,

I have a "special" network setup in which I have my Fritz!Box (UniFi USG is still in the drawer because it does not support IGMPv3 yet) connected with a Site-to-Site VPN to my father's Fritz!Box in Italy.
My network is 192.168.2.0/24 and my father's network 192.168.1.0/24.
From the Indigo Client and can therefore type the Indigo Server IP of my father's Indigo and use it normally.

My Server: 192.168.2.103
My Father's Server: 192.168.1.10

Yesterday I installed the piBeacon plugin and since then I see in my father's Indigo logs:

Code: Select all
WebServer
access denied "http://192.168.1.10:8176/variables/pi_IN_Alive" from xxstartxx@192.168.2.104

192.168.1.10 is my father
192.168.2.104 is my server

At the moment this could not be a problem (apart from having this log entry) but in a few days, during Christmas holiday, I will install the piBeacon plugin also on my father's server.
What happens when the variable will be there? Or I get access denied because I do not have any right to read/write that variable?

PS: I wrote into this subforum, but I do not know if it is a Indigo Server related problem.

Thanks
Marco

That’s the rpi trying to connect to your fathers indigo.
You need to do config in the plugin and setup the right indigo ip userid and password. Then menu basic rpi config : rpi ip userid password
After that it should do a push of all files from the plugin to the rpi.
The rpi should rebootafter some time .. auto updates etc ) and start working.

the rpi can only talk to one plugin and visa versa.

For 2 plugins you need >=1 rpi in italy and 1 in Germany.
They are completely independent

Yes, of course my father will have his own raspberry :D

But I see that log entry even if my pibeacon plugin is disabled :?:

The rpi is trying independently of the plugin. It has 99 % of the config. A by accident it has the right ip number of the indigo server but not the right user id and password. , that would be really unlikely

And may I suggest to have 2 rpi. They should “see” each other with their Bluetooth signals.
Things work better then.

Yes 2 each. One in the front and one in the back of the home. But they should “see” each other
