Map UUID to Name and setup IPhone to UUID link

Either there has been a droid OS update or one of the PiBeacon updates in the last 6 months seems to have broken these features; Some months ago, I put a friend's droid BLE beacon into the Valid beacons folder by renaming it "Joels Phone", and creating a UUJID to Name and IPhone to UUID link. Everything worked fine; unlike the IPhones, his phone always came up as that beacon. However, he hasn't been over for several months and when he did come back yesterday, PiBeacon started creating a new beacon for his phone about once an hour, then expiring it and creating another, each of which has a different, random MAC, but all of which have in their notes section "Joels Phone - #############-523", with the long # sequence always identical. His ORIGINAL beacon from July also has exactly the same note string, so PiBeacon is obviously able to recognize that it's looking at the same device even though it's not linking it back to the original Indigo device. Is this a google change or has something gone wonky int the mapping code? Or have you added checks to make sure that ONLY IPhones can make those links?

Re: Map UUID to Name and setup IPhone to UUID link

could you check if you have a file
~/pibeacon/UUIDtoIphone
and on the mac
~/documents/pibeacon/all/UUIDtoIphone

it should have the UUID and a mac number of the phone in a json dump format something like {uuid:mac}

Also when you have done "delete beacon history" that setup is likely gone too. So you might need to recreate the settings:

1. enable new beacons
2. wait until THAT iPhone shows up
3. setup uuid to mac mapping in menu
4. disable new beacons
5 remove any unwanted new beacons

Re: Map UUID to Name and setup IPhone to UUID link

"Joels Phone-59719-531": "6C:F3:18:25:94:59"

is in the UUIDtoIPhone file in the ~/Documents /piBeacon/All folder
There is no ~/piBeacons folder (any case variation) on the server.

Experimentation by powering up my iPhone which is also in the list showed that it while it did activate the "Johns iPhone " beacon with note: 011a07ff4c-16-519 (also in the list), it also created a new beacon with the same note, which then downed and expired in sync with Johns iPhone after the phone went back to sleep. And (coincidence or related), I got half a dozen to the random

piBeacon in Line '920' has error=''key note not found in dict''
    piBeacon unknown error

messages that have been popping up randomly in the event log for the past couple of months without seeming to affect performance.

I see the error. It should show the real uuid not the nick name.
Will fix later today.
