I suspect it just lost connection on one occasion. It will recover. If it falls three times in succession the plugin will abort to ensure that the Apple Account isn't locked out!

Re: iFindstuff Alpha Testing Topic

No there are quite a few failed logins in my log and these fail messages about every 15 mins , odd thing is that it seems to be working and prior to todays alpha I have never seen the login fail before.

I'll look into how to stop this happening. I know what the issue is - I just need to find a way to trap it properly...

Actually - having checked the code the answer to your question is no. The plugin will only allow three fails before termination if it's a faulty login - it looks like a bug to me

I'll look at it now...

Re: iFindstuff Alpha Testing Topic

Hi Mike,

Been playing around a bit with the plugin. Looks great.

However, I am having some difficulties - I get the impression they are being polled very frequently, as battery drain is very noticeable (and my phone gets hot) and after a few hours I get device address showing "too many queries in one day". That's despite having the Normal Update Frequency set to 600, and the frequencies for lower battery powers set to 1200. Something doesn't seem quite right. I am running the iOS9 beta on one of my devices if that makes any difference.

You should find that the battery drain is significantly reduced in the latest version 0.4.31. Typical Alpha error that lead to multiple calls to the Apple API every 10 seconds!

Give the new version a go (please read the instructions) and see how that one fairs

iOS 9 shouldn't be an issue as the API hasn't changed. However, my inefficient coding might have something to do with it :D

You may need to wait until after midnight to get the GeoLocation addresses back again. The bug will have hit the address API hard and it simply refuses after 2,500 calls. The new version should resolve that.

Give 0.4.31 a go

Re: iFindstuff Alpha Testing Topic

Thanks - have just downloaded it. Figured there was some fairly aggressive polling going on! Won't be able to do anything today as I need to wait for the "too many queries" to expire.

Hi Mark

Yep I've now trapped out that error. Not your fault but there was no value in the field for the frequency of the timer for one of your devices. However, I should have trapped that issue. I've now got the system to put in a default if you don't :D

Latest version is now available (0.4.31) from the usual link.
