What's next for NEST Home, iFindstuff and other plugins?

Hi all

If you've read my recent messages you'll see that I'm finally back in the UK, have internet access and ready to get started again. I've been returning a favour to a good friend where I promised to support a teaching initiative in a few countries and I've been a) knackered and b) suffered from a lack of internet access. However, I'm now back and ready to code!

To help me get started/motivated I could really do with some ideas and hints of what to concentrate on for my plugins. I've been through all of the comments that I've received in the last months and I've responded to most of them. Of could a lot of them are probably out of date or already answered. BTW - thanks to those of you who picked up the slack it was greatly appreciated.

Anyway I'd like some comments back from the community on the plugins...

You can reply to this post with the following:

Bugs or issues you'd like me to resolve
New features that you think we should be adding
    Ideas for new plugins

If you can post back with:

NAME OF PLUGIN (iFindStuff, NEST Home or LED Manager)
TYPE: Bug, Issue, feature or idea
DESCRIPTION: Some comments on what you're looking for
ERRORS: Upload a copy of the error file for your plugin (e.g. cut and paste text from the relevant log at: /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Logs/) or the debug messages you'd like me to look at.

Good to be back

Mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome back! :D

It's good to know your absence from the forums was only for good reasons :)

Wondered why we hadn't heard from you for a while. Thought you might have been purchased by NEST. :D Glad you weren't.

Like most things with Indigo, you just forget about them after a while as they become the norm. This is a good thing - this whole setup should not require constant tinkering. The fact that one does is out of choice not necessity.

Funnily enough I went in this morning to add a trigger with iFindstuff - moved a dimmer yesterday.

Welcome back.

Hi Mike,
I've been trying for the last few days to talk to my iKettle - if you fancy making a plugin for that it would be fantastic, as I can't get it to work - mainly because I don't have a clue about coding!!
I've managed to talk to the kettle and get it to switch on/off but no more than that really.
I've found a load of info here:-http://www.awe.com/mark/blog/tags/ha
Let me know if you fancy taking it on .

Cheers
Martin

+1 on an ikettle plugin.

Also a plugin for configuring HomeBridge settings would be handy, rather than having to edit a plist file manually. :)

Oooooooh and a plugin for plugins that can automate plugins. Inception?
