Hi,

Since I upgraded to the latest version I am seeing a lot of messages like this in the log screen:

WUnderground Debug Line 2688 Reason: 'error'
WUnderground Error These are estimated conditions. There may be other functioning weather stations nearby.

or:

WUnderground Debug Line 2688 Reason: 'error'
WUnderground Debug Line 1377 Reason: 'estimated'

Is there something I have to (re)configure ?

Hi Wouter - these errors are now appearing in the logs due to changes that I'm making to future-proof the plugin and can be ignored. The next version of the plugin will hide these notices completely--precisely because there is nothing that you can (or should) do as a result of them.

Thanks for the quick reply. And yes I am enyoing your plugin for a long time

Thing is that when I see the line "WUnderground Error These are estimated conditions. There may be other functioning weather stations nearby" the temp value is wrong.
In this case it is 4.4 degrees (my Davis value and WU value) while the plugin returns 16 degrees.
Is this related or something else?

It is related. I do no math on temperature--just some string operations for display. The plugin gives you whatever WU is sending.

Thanks. Please let me know if you see any discrepancies between what WU is sending and what you're seeing in the plugin. Happy to try to address anything you find, but there should be no numeric differences.

I'm more convinced than ever that this is WU. I was humming along nicely and then I looked down and saw this:


These two weather sites are 6 miles apart. The bottom one is estimated.

I have uploaded an update that allows estimated conditions to be ignored.
